Our Services

Residential Carpet Cleaning

Whether you are aware of it or not, the carpeting throughout your home represents a large part of your home's overall value.

Proper maintenance can extend your carpet's life considerably. In addition to your regular vacuuming schedule, you need to have them professionally cleaned on a regular basis (every 12 - 18 months) in order to remove the ground-in soil, dust and bacteria too deep for conventional vacuuming.

This is also required by many manufacturers in order to comply with your carpet's warranty.

At the butler, all of our trained specialists use only the finest equipment and detergents in order to achieve the desired results. We back all our work in writing and guarantee your satisfaction.

Residential Upholstery Cleaning

Much like your carpets, your home furnishings represent a huge investment.

Again proper maintenance is required to maximize their lifespan. Regular vacuuming is highly recommended, but this is in addition to annual professional cleaning.

Extraction cleaning goes much further than standard vacuuming can, removing the soil, dust, pet hair, etc. that gets embedded deep into the fabrics of your furnishings. Over time, these particles will become abrasive and start to breakdown the fibers of your upholstery.

Oriental and Speciality Area Rug Cleaning

Oriental and specialty area rugs differ greatly in their construction, dyeing methods and fiber content … and we understand these differences, assuring a safe and thorough cleaning of each individual rug.

Stylish area rugs add sophistication to any home. But just like regular carpets, your area rug can absorb a lot of punishment-constant foot traffic, dirt, spills, soil and other materials.

Once cleaned your area rug will look more beautiful than it has in years!

The butler cleans area rugs both in your home and in-plant. Call the office for details and pricing information.

Residential Mattress Cleaning

Mattress Cleaning

What lies beneath the sheets? It’s possible there are:

  • Dust mites - can trigger asthma attacks and are a common allergen.

Over 2 million dust mites live in the average queen size mattress. Do you ever wake up with itchy, watery eyes, nasal stuffiness, runny nose, dry mouth or sneezing? These are all signs of dust allergies.

Dust mites prefer warm, moist surroundings such as the inside of a mattress.

A favorite food is dander (both human and animal skin flakes). Humans shed about 1/5 ounce of dander (dead skin) each week. About 80 percent of the material seen floating in a sunbeam is actually skin flakes.

According to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, "50 percent of all illnesses are caused by or aggravated by polluted indoor air."

So what is a Dust mite? They are microscopic, eight-legged arachnids (not insects) 0.3mm in, length. They are invisible to the human eye, so small they can crawl through the weave of bedding fabrics.

For allergy sufferers, the bedroom is the primary source of dust mite exposure in the home. About 60% of mites in the home are found in the mattress, as we spend one third of our life in bed - shedding skin and feeding dust mites.

To effectively control dust mite allergens, the mattress should be regularly cleaned, about every twelve months.

Carpeting and household upholstery also support high dust mite populations.

  • Bedbugs – causing bites and annoyance
  • Scabies Mites – cause an itchy, uncomfortable rash

Carpet and Fabric Protector

To further extend your carpet's life, the butler recommends an application of carpet protector such as Green Guard after your cleaning.

Protector coats the individual carpet fibers and will cause most fluids spilled on the carpet to bead up, making the fugitive substance less likely to take hold.

Fabric protector for upholstery and specialty textiles imparts outstanding water, oil, and soil repellency to both natural and synthetic fabrics. Applied after the cleaning, fabric protector provides excellent fiber penetration using a highly refined odorless mineral spirit carrier. Fabric protector can be safely applied to most fabrics including Haitian cottons, silks, velvets, and draperies.

NEW!! The butler now offering a one year fabric protector limited warranty. If the treated carpet or upholstery becomes stained caused by water or oil based stains occurring during normal household use, and these stains cannot be removed by the butler's recommended methods, the butler will arrange to try to remove these spots. In the event the butler is unsuccessful in removing these spots, the butler will reimburse you for the cost of the protector for that room or piece of upholstery.

* Some restrictions apply. Speak to the butler staff for full details.

Specialty Spot Removers

All of the butler's vehicles are equipped with advanced spotting kits and solvents.

Our trained specialists know exactly which cleaning agent will breakdown difficult stains and have the proper equipment to flush and extract the spot and any residual detergent.

Extraction is the key to preventing reoccurrence and spot wick-up.

Please check our Customer Spotting Sheet for recommended solutions to common spills.

Deodorizing/Disinfectant

Deodorizer is applied to difficult odors that are embedded deep in the carpet fibers, such as pet urine. In some cases it is recommended that the cleaning specialists double deodorize an affected carpet to maximize results. In these cases the carpet is pretreated with a disinfectant prior to the cleaning (killing 90% of the bacteria) and deodorizer is applied directly after the cleaning.

Disinfectants are used when the carpet fibers have been saturated for an extended period of time. The application of disinfection kills most of the germs and bacteria that prosper in a moist environment, thus greatly reducing the likelihood of mold and mildew from taking hold.

Commercial Carpet Cleaning

To protect your carpeting and to maintain its original beauty, commercial carpets should be professionally deep-cleaned at least twice a year.

Daily vacuuming should be a regular part of your maintenance schedule, but it simply cannot reach the deeply embedded soil, sand, and grit that builds up over time and threaten fiber life.

Regular expert service by the butler can help you triple the life expectancy of your carpeting.

Remember: new carpet can cost over $30.00 per yard. The average cost of cleaning it runs about $1.25 per yard. Carpet cleaning by the butler isn't just an expense- it's a sound investment in your capital budget.

Commercial Upholstery Cleaning

Too often, office furniture is ignored until it's too late to save. Yet, as part of the overall office plan, upholstered chairs and couches represent a sizable expenditure.

While they may seem perfectly clean, dust and other airborne particles settle in quickly and settle in deeply. In fact, air in the office and home can be five times more toxic than air outside. It can contain acids that destroy nylon fiber.

Professional extraction cleaning by the butler removes soil and abrasive elements, and neutralizes harmful acid buildup. Periodic service (every 12- 18 months) restores the health and looks of your furniture, and contributes immeasurably to the quality of your indoor environment.
